At this point I just wanted to get away from unhelpful Mr. Grumpy pants said I would have to let them perform the uninstall and reboot the server so that they could "make sure it was done correctly" before the issue could be escalated. ![]() It was obvious that providing me with support was just too much trouble for grumpy Tylor so I asked for escalation. I uninstalled without the requested reboot the uninstalled prompted me for, reinstalled. (Side note: Pet peeve that uninstall and reinstall was the very first troubleshooting step.) I reiterated that I wanted to try something that didn't require a reboot. I was told by an unfriendly Tier 1 guy that I was to uninstall the software and reinstall. This is a production server so I wanted to see if there is anything I could do short of a reboot. I got an error "Carbonite remote management service could not be started. We had enough space so I tried restarting all of the services. ![]() Over the holiday weekend it stopped uploading backups with an error about there not being enough space to store the backup in the cloud. I have been running Carbonite Server Backup for just over two months.
